For the last 24-48 hours or so, I've had some sort of bug. Possibly a virus, it's hard to tell - but I was feeling like crepe. (Yeah, the paper. Fragile, wrinkled, wadded up and discarded after a party. (grin)) Knees felt like someone was taking hammers to them, as did my back. Was running a fever there for a while, I think it got up to 101 or so. Not much of one, but still enough to be darned uncomfortable.
So I've been mostly horizontal since Saturday night. Called in this morning and told them I wouldn't be in to work - hate doing that since Mondays usually have the more interesting calls. But if I don't relapse, I believe I can make it into work tomorrow.

I am minded of a Dilbert cartoon, when Catbert persuaded the pointy-haired boss that the fact that 40% of the sick calls took place on Mondays and Fridays was slacking on the part of the employees ;)

Must be something going around, as I've been sick today myself. Lightheaded and a bit nauseated; started on a sore throat Saturday night and didn't let up. Don't get fevers much anymore, though.

Hmmm...weren't you on vacation recently? Did you stay in any "wild" type places? If so, you might want to check out all the symptoms for the various tick related diseases...just to be sure. I'm blanking on the most recent one, but it isn't to be messed with (??ehrliciosis???)
As I recall, it starts with an initial flu like symptom, then becomes a conglomeration of seemingly unrelated symptoms that are very debilitating. Not to be messed with. And probably not relevant, but it doesn't hurt to check out what's out there...
