NASA - 100 Explosions on the Moon
103, actually.
What's causing them? Hey, you take a chunk of space debris and whack it into the Moon at 30,000 mph, it's gonna spark.
Neat video, too. Enjoy!

Our solar system is one big shooting gallery driven by gravity... could we get some small, fast tracking observation platforms in orbit, please? No huge telescopes, just 5 or 6 mediocre ones good for in-system imaging and fast attitude change capability... we really do have to start getting a handle on the 60m to 300m range of objects out there. Especially the nickel/iron ones.
