Though the military doesn't like to advertise their use, electronic jamming systems are playing a key role in neutralizing the threat.
In WW2, the Norden bombsight was top secret. I suppose it could be argued the Germans knew about it - but we didn't go blather about the Norden's capabilities in the press and constantly remind the Germans and Japanese we had it.
Yeah, the bad guys know we use jammers. Isn't it great we've got a free media that can keep REMINDING them of that little tidbit?

Well if it harms or endangers the US, it is *fine* with the MSM! But, if it points out that home grown terrorists like, say, the IRA, shares technology with others and that shows up in Iraq... we will hear that all of once and then said 'journalists' will not spend any time trying to track down the connections on just *how* technology gained by the IRA from a failed sting operation in the UK will be *improved* upon and then shared outwards and how *that* comes back to bite you. Apparently these local terrorist sorts really have little compunction about who they share such things with. So long as it gets them notoriety and political power, that is. That kind of puts the 'freedom fighter' meme out to pasture as seeking power for your own group over others isn't really all that 'freeing' for those that get ruled over. Pretty tyrannical, in fact.
No, much easier to hand information over to enemies of those protecting freedom so as to undermine it... say, is this 'free press' concept trying to gain its own authority over society? Doesn't make them too 'free' if thats the case... pretty authoritarian and tyrannical, in fact.
Just like those home-grown terrorists.
