FOXNews.com - Most Americans: Ban Text Messaging While Driving - Technology News | News On TechnologyConsidering the concentration needed to hold the phone AND press the buttons (which does, like, require BOTH hands, doesn't it?) I think it'd be a good idea to slap on some sort of restrictions.NEW YORK — Close to 100 percent of Americans agree that text messaging while driving should be banned, according to a study released Tuesday, Reuters reports.
Driving's difficult enough when you've got your full attention on the road. Splitting it to text - well, why not just toss down a couple of beers, also? There's already been accidents because someone was texting instead of paying attention to their driving.
Hate to sound like an old fart here - but I don't especially care to be clobbered because someone decided they had to send a text message while driving.

Coincidentally, Lin was rear-ended in her Odyssey yesterday by a guy in an F450 pickup. 'All' it did was punch a one-inch diameter hole in her rear bumper.
Lin says that as he got down from his cab, he confessed, 'I was on the phone...'
Gonna be a dam' expensive phone call for him.

Ow! Glad it wasn't any worse.
Bet he was holding the phone to his ear, also. I use an earbud if I've got to make a call while driving - it's just safer.

Got the estimate on the new back bumper for the Odyssey: $1300+.
We'll see how this plays out...

Redneck solution - strip of duct tape. Cheap, and if he gives you the remainder of the roll you can patch it as many times as needed!
You can buy a lot of duct tape for $1300...
