Why should we be listening to his bug-out ass?"BAGHDAD, July 8 (Reuters) - Fiery Iraqi Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr has gone back to neighbouring Iran, U.S. military sources in Baghdad said on Sunday.
Earlier this year, U.S. officials said the anti-American cleric was hiding in Iran to avoid a major security crackdown in Baghdad, although his aides say he never left Iraq.
"Our sources do show Moqtada in Iran," one U.S. military source said, declining to speculate on why Sadr had gone back.
A senior aide to Sadr denied the cleric had left Iraq.
Sadr disappeared from public view shortly before the launch of a U.S.-led offensive in Baghdad in February but re-emerged in the holy Shi'ite Iraqi city of Kufa on May 25.
If he keeps this up, they're gonna unionize on him, and THEN where will he be? He'll be lucky to find a job at an Iranian Wal-Mart.

Ah, I remember when I wrote about Sadr's first leave of absence and it had happened just after a crucial event. Well, the same series of events, the same excursion... I do think that Don Sistani has had enough of this young upstart. Told once that it might be unhealthy to stay, he leaves.
A second time that it might be unwise... he leaves.

There will be no third welcome mat out for Sadr if he returns. A good Don has his limits... and his gang is cornered, to boot. He isn't a 'native' anymore. I do wish we had given him a sudden case of lead poisoning back in '03 but this... hmmmm... how does an Imam trying to pass himself off as a 'nice guy' wipe out a thug like Sadr? Quickly and quietly on time three is my guess... even though we left him around for the Iraqis to figure out, it is, really, a litmus test to see if they have *learned* anything.
