Welcome back to the Big Nannystate, D Edition brought to you by the Left! Just like our previous contestants from the Big Nannystate R edition, brought to you by the Right and who tried to ban the nefarious thing known as Internet Gambling, the D folks now seem fit to step into your computer room and/or bedroom to determine just what it is that children don't do that adults *do*.

Some day they may actually be able to figure it out.

Until then there are quite a few other problems plaguing the Union, like multiple Transnational Terrorist organizations that have declared war on the US since the end of the last war around 1945. These folks seem to love killing Americans at home and abroad, target the actual representatives of the Nation and go after the Armed Forces of the Union without reprisal. I know that a few thousand deaths of adults can be seen as being put below 'the needs of the children', but if we are brought down as a Nation and a People, we may not be having many of those children to start with. So until this Big Nannystate R&D folks find brand new ways to remove MY rights from ME, they should really be checking over their shoulders for the folks coming to get us on a global basis. Just because we don't have Katusha rockets flying over the border doesn't mean that the automatic weapons fire coming from that southerly direction is *friendly*. And those al Qaeda folks just seem to be distributed all over the place, not only in Pakistan and Iraq, but fun little nooks and crannies like Algeria, Bosnia, Chechnya, India, Philippines, Indonesia... can't say as removing their leadership does much for the overall organization...

So, until the deaths of actual, real Americans due to illegitimate war actually moves up on the National Worrywart Scale of Inclement Rights Disposal, I remain disdainful and unmoved by the Big Nannystaters. Their R&D doesn't seem to be getting us any freer nor safer... just the opposite, in fact.
