To draw terror.
Did cartoons spark Germany terror plot? - International Terrorism - MSNBC.comOddly, no real notice was taken of them until some Danish Imams made a tour (with a couple extra cartoons that they faked up) of the ME to show the horrid blashphemy that they had to tolerate in their adopted country.BERLIN - The prime suspects in the failed attempt to blow up two German trains were partially motivated by anger over the recent publication of Prophet Muhammad cartoons, a leading investigator said in an interview released Saturday.
The Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten first published the 12 cartoons in September 2005, including one showing Muhammad wearing a turban shaped like a bomb.
But instead of laughing at the cartoons, these guys decided that it was too much - that the only response was bombing innocents.
Islam. The more I see of the nutcases, the less I respect the entire religion.

I doesn't matter if someone drew Mohammed on the wall of a toilet stall eating pork chops.
It doesn't take much of an excuse for these nutbags to commit some atrocity.

Sure doesn't seem to, does it?
They sure know how to manipulate the PC crowd. All they need to do is scream how offended they are, and some will fall over backwards trying to appease them. Long-term, they get conditioned to demand more and more, we in turn get less and less latitude.

I'm not a geography expert, but last I heard, Germany isn't Denmark.
It's not like they need an excuse anyway.
They haven't before, other than we aren't Muslim.
I hope, come November, that voters understand that it isn't a coincidence that leftist and terrorist talking points match up.

There's a lot of folks who're willing to give them a pass on ANY excuse, no matter how minor. It's bizzare, in my humble opinion, and enables them no end.
As it is, sometimes I think Islam's in the 'terrible twos' stage - it's not an old enough religion to realize it's GOT to play nice with others, and it's constantly picking fights with the other religions on the playground.
The question is, will it grow out of that stage before it kills us all... imagine a two-year old with access to nuclear weapons.
