Don't like the looks of this...
A Daily Briefing on Iran: Iran's "Let's Roll" Beginning?I'm sure hoping we're not getting ready for a megalomanical theocratic leader with nukes to start tossing them around.Back in 1991/1992 three nuclear weapon devices the Mullahs had obtained from Kazakhstan were verified on ground in Iran and intelligence further estimates that Iran has totally between eight to 12 nuclear devices from the Soviet era.
The press leaks pointed to Iran possibly not proceeding with negotiations, reassuring internal supporters and preparing to confront the West. The final decision to disdain the European meeting was apparently made with the sudden incapacitation of Israel's Ariel Sharon.
Concurrently, Iran has suddenly moved a significant number of tanks toward its southern border near Basra, Iraq; has started repositioning naval assets and intercepts show military communications have become very atypical.
Is Iran expecting an attack now that the more pragmatic Sharon is out of the picture or has U.S and Coalition information leaked to them of an impending strike to put an end to nuclear weapons falling into the hands of someone like Ahmadi-Nejad. The new regime in Iran has certainly tried to provoke the USA and Israel beyond the point of endurance.
That's worrisome.

I do think its a bad thing if Iran gets nukes. However, I don't think they're stupid enough to use them. I think they seriously just want them as bargaining chips. Obviously, though, if you call their bluff and their chips aren't getting the desired payout, they could use htem, and thats the danger.
If they get them, we'll either have to call their bluff (and then risk them using them just bc we called their bluff) or lose a lot of bargaining ground.

Rawb, having worked in that field as a missile mechanic on the Minuteman III, and spent a bit of time on the Nevada Test Site (Survey work. Very early GPS system, the Magnavox MX-1502, had to set in some benchmarks, but got to see a bit too.) you have NO idea how much I'm hoping you're right on this.
But from some of the things I'm reading, (Specifically at The Adventures of Chester: Sinking Feeling and in the whole thing I linked to in the main article) this guy's just bugfuck enough to do it. You remember how some were saying that since Bush was an evangelical Christian that he wanted to force the Apocalypse? Well, congrats - 'cause apparently we're looking at the real thing, a fundamentalist who's ready to force their version of the Apocalypse, the Twelfth Imam or something. And apparently there's no concern for the survival of the Iranian people. At least the USSR leadership was concerned about making sure the people survived. From reports, there's no such constraint on this asshole.
I hate it when idiots play Chicken with nukes. Someone's liable to get hurt bad.
